OUR STORY
Indian cooking in Adelaide since 2010.
Holden Hill’s local Indian restaurant — halal, women-owned, recently renovated.
Chennai Palace opened on North East Road in 2010 and has been here every night since. We started with a South Indian kitchen — dosas, biryanis, Chettinad and Pallipalayam from Tamil Nadu — and grew into a full North Indian menu when our regulars asked for it. Today the carte runs to 21 sections. The buffet runs three days a week and sells out on Fridays. The bar is licensed. The kitchen is halal.
We’re a family-run business, women-owned, and we mean it when we say we read every review. Our team replies to nearly every Google review you leave — the good ones, the bad ones, the in-between. If something isn’t right when you visit, tell our staff at the table. We’d rather fix it on the night than read about it tomorrow.
We renovated the dining room in late 2025 — same kitchen, same recipes, room you’ll actually want to sit in. We added the bar at the same time. Free parking, kids’ corner, high chairs, change room. Wi-Fi for the table that’s eating but also working.
Halal. Women-owned. Family-run.
All our chicken, lamb, goat and beef are sourced halal. Certificate available on request. The business is women-owned per our Google Business profile, and family-run since day one.
Two locations.
Walkerville is our second site — same kitchen standards, same hospitality, smaller dining room.
